About Professor Mohammad H. Nadimi-Shahraki
He is a Full Professor of Artificial Intelligence at the International Graduate School of Artificial Intelligence, and the Founder and Director of the X-Autonomy AI Laboratory at National Yunlin University of Science and Technology (YunTech), Taiwan. From 2022 to late 2025, he also served as an Adjunct Associate Professor of Artificial Intelligence at the Center for Artificial Intelligence Research and Optimization, Torrens University, Australia. Since 2023, he has been recognized as one of the world’s top 2% scientists in Artificial Intelligence. Prof. Nadimi earned his Ph.D. in Intelligent Computing from UPM (Universiti Putra Malaysia) in 2010.
Professor Nadimi is also the founder of the Big Data Research Center at IAUN, where he and his team conducted research in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Data Analytics, and Bio-Inspired Algorithms. Additionally he established the USERN-IBDAM research group, focusing on developing intelligent big data analytics methods in medicine. Passionate about making Artificial Intelligence and Data Science accessible and beneficial to everyone, Prof. Nadimi actively engages in outreach and education initiatives, mentoring students, delivering public lectures, and collaborating with industry partners. To date, he has authored over 200 papers in prestigious journals and conferences, earning numerous awards and honors for his research contributions.
Throughout his career, Prof. Nadimi has served as Principal Investigator and Co-Principal Investigator on several research and industrial projects, applying and advancing artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning, data analytics, and nature-inspired algorithms to address real-world challenges. He has extensive consultancy experience, using artificial intelligence and data analytics to assist government and private organizations. In addition to his academic and research roles, Prof. Nadimi has held various administrative positions, including Director of the IAUN Big Data Research Center, Dean of the Computer Engineering Faculty, General Director of the Research Department at IAUN, and a member of the postgraduate program committee, where he contributed to the development of new Master’s and Ph.D. programs. He is an experienced reviewer for numerous peer-reviewed journals, a member of several conference committees, and an active participant in communities such as IEEE.
Professor Nadimi is always open to collaborative research in industrial and academic projects and consistently seeks new opportunities and challenges to apply his expertise in AI and Data Science.
